What are striae?
Streaks are narrow, thin lines of skin, usually parallel to each other, formed by the breaking of skin fibers. When the marks appear during pregnancy, they are also called stretch marks.
Stripes are usually caused by rapid stretching of the skin during growth, pregnancy or sudden weight changes. They can also develop during puberty with hormonal changes, during pregnancy, with hormone replacement therapy, and for other reasons.
How are striae formed?
Mechanical stretching tears the derma fibers in the suddenly widening areas, such as the stomach, chest and thighs. Initially one sees reddish, blue or purple lines. The streaks develop in the skin layer that help the skin hold its shape. As the fibers tear and the streaks form, the skin feels sunken and softened in the appropriate area.
Stripes can appear on any part of the body, but most often they appear on different parts of the fatty tissue: the abdomen, especially around the navel, the chest, upper arms, armpits, back, thighs, hips and buttocks.

For correction of growth marks / stretch marks / stretch marks, 2-5 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart are recommended.

Redness can last up to 72 hours. If the wrinkles are in a clearly visible place, after the laser treatment the skin will be swollen and reddened for some time, the skin must be carefully protected from the sun and it is necessary to apply special creams. Therefore, it is not recommended to have the treatment right before you go on holiday if you plan to sunbathe or take part in a photo shoot.
