The combination therapy of HydraFacial MD® and EXCEED® Microneedling is like treating the skin from the inside out AND from the outside in. We establish a skin strategy of treating either a HydraFacial® or EXCEED® every 3 to 4 weeks over a number of months.

How many treatments are needed?
Depending on the type, age and severity of the skin concern, multiple sessions may be required to achieve optimal results. In most cases, around 3 treatments are recommended at 4-week intervals.
How long does a treatment take?
A treatment session usually takes 40 to 60 minutes.
What should I do before the treatment?
Do not take medications that increase photosensitivity (e.g. antibiotics, cortisone, antidepressants, PrEP) for 2 weeks before treatment.
Avoid intense sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 4 weeks before treatment.
Do not undergo Botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid treatments within 6 weeks before the procedure.
What should I do after the treatment?
Use high SPF sunscreen (SPF 50) for 3–4 weeks after treatment and avoid tanning beds.
Do not apply make-up, powder or your own skincare products for 48 hours. You will receive recommended products and aftercare instructions.
Avoid laser treatments, chemical peels, professional skin cleansing or other skin procedures for 3 weeks.
Avoid saunas and steam baths for 14 days.
Avoid intensive exercise for 7 days.
Apply Ebenol or another antiseptic ointment twice daily for 7 days.
Do not remove any crusts that may form.
Do not squeeze or open any milia or pustules that may appear.
Is the treatment painful?
The tiny needle punctures usually cause only mild discomfort. A topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure to make the treatment more comfortable. General anesthesia is not required.
