What is botulinum toxin?
Botulinum toxin is a protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. In aesthetic medicine, botulinum toxin type A is used in very small, precisely dosed amounts. It acts at the junction between nerve and muscle and reduces the activity of overactive muscle fibres, in a controlled way and for a limited time.
Expression lines come from repeated muscle movements: raising the forehead, frowning, laughing. When wrinkles are treated with Botox, muscle tension decreases, the skin lies smoother and the lines look softer. Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine. Treatment with botulinum toxin therefore belongs in the hands of a doctor.

How much does Botox for the forehead cost?
Forehead lines are one of the most common reasons for a Botox treatment. These horizontal lines come from raising the eyebrows again and again. Over the years, they show first when you move, then also at rest.
We treat the forehead as a standard area. Botox for the forehead costs approx. €159. Many patients have this area treated together with the frown line. For these two areas, the indicative price is approx. €279. The result is a calmer overall expression, and the face keeps its natural movement.
How much does Botox for the frown line cost?
The frown line, medically the glabella, is the vertical line between the eyebrows. It often makes you look stricter or more tense than you feel. Botox for the frown line costs approx. €159 as a single standard area.
The frown line is one of the areas where Botox works with particular precision, because the line is formed directly by two small muscle groups. After treatment, your expression looks more open and less severe.
How much does Botox for crow’s feet cost?
Crow’s feet are the fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes that appear when you laugh. Crow’s feet are also one of our standard areas. The treatment costs approx. €159.
If you have all three areas of the upper face treated in one appointment, the indicative price for three standard areas is approx. €379. This is the most common combination for wrinkle treatment with Botox.
Cost of special Botox treatments
Botox is not only used for expression lines. Beyond the standard areas, other regions are treated, each with its own price.
Masseter: slimmer face and teeth grinding
The chewing muscle at the lower jaw can be overactive. The lower third of the face then looks wider, and many people grind their teeth at night. Typical effects are jaw pain or headaches in the morning and tension around the jaw. Botox reduces the activity of this muscle. The facial contour becomes slimmer, the jawline sharper, and the pressure from teeth grinding often drops clearly.
Nefertiti lift: jawline and neck
In a Nefertiti lift, Botox is placed in specific neck muscles. The jawline looks more defined and the transition to the neck becomes clearer.
Full facial harmonisation
In a full facial harmonisation, we treat several areas within one coordinated plan. The goal is a more relaxed and balanced expression overall, not smoothing a single line.
Baby Botox
Baby Botox uses smaller amounts per injection point. The result is more subtle: your expressions stay very mobile, yet the skin looks smoother. This method suits first fine lines and anyone who wants a very natural effect.
Mesobotulinum, the skin quality protocol
With mesobotulinum, very small amounts are placed superficially in the skin. The protocol targets skin quality: finer pores, a more even complexion, less shine.
Neck areas
We offer an extended treatment for the neck. The exact scope is set during the consultation.
Hyperhidrosis: excessive sweating (€449)
Botox is also used to treat excessive sweating. Targeted micro-injections reduce the activity of the sweat glands. Treatment of the underarms costs €449. The effect can last up to 12 months.
Small add-on treatments from €99
Some areas need only a very small amount of Botox. They combine well with a standard treatment:
- Lip flip (€99): The upper lip turns slightly outward and looks fuller, without adding volume with filler.
- Bunny lines (€99): The small lines on the sides of the nose that appear when you laugh are smoothed.
- Gummy smile (€99): Less gum shows when you smile.
- Brow lift (€99): A slight lift of the eyebrows gives a more open look.
- Smoker’s lines (€149): The vertical lines on the upper lip are relaxed.
What does the cost of Botox depend on?
The cost of Botox is not the same for everyone. Three factors set the price.
The areas treated
With us, the indicative price is approx. €159 per area. Each area is planned on its own. The more areas you treat, the higher the total cost. At the same time, the price per area drops when you have several areas treated in one appointment.
The number of units needed
Botulinum toxin is dosed in units. How many units an area needs depends on the strength of the muscles.
Your muscle activity
A very active muscle needs a different dose than a weaker one. The required dose varies with individual muscle strength and activity.

A reliable estimate is only possible after a medical analysis in our practice. That is why we always set the final cost after the medical consultation.
What is included in the price?
The price covers the whole treatment at our centre in Frankfurt:
- a personal medical consultation before every treatment
- an analysis of your facial expressions at rest and in movement
- planning and marking of the injection points
- the injection itself
If you want small adjustments after the treatment, we can discuss them at a follow-up visit.
How long does Botox last, and what follow-up costs should you expect?
Botox does not work permanently. Know these points in time to plan your costs over the year:
An example: If you have your forehead treated as one standard area twice a year, the indicative total is approx. €318 per year. How often a repeat treatment makes sense depends on muscle activity, metabolism and the effect you want. Regular treatments can also keep expression lines from deepening over time.
Botox or hyaluronic acid: which treatment for which wrinkle?
Botox and hyaluronic acid are often confused, but they work in very different ways. This also affects the cost.
Botox
It suits dynamic wrinkles caused by facial expressions: forehead, frown line, crow’s feet. The effect wears off on its own after a few months.
Hyaluronic acid
It suits wrinkles and areas that lack volume: the nasolabial fold, drooping mouth corners, cheek volume or the lips. If you want your nasolabial fold treated, you need hyaluronic acid, not Botox. Hyaluronic acid usually lasts longer, and it can be corrected with the enzyme hyaluronidase (Hylase) if needed.

What to watch for with cheap Botox offers
Botox prices vary a lot in Germany. A low price alone says little about the treatment. These questions help you compare:
- Who treats you? Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine. Make sure a doctor with experience in aesthetic medicine performs the treatment. Ask about their qualifications and experience.
- Which product is used? A reputable practice tells you the product. We only use internationally established products.
- Is there a consultation before the treatment? An analysis of your facial expressions is the basis for a natural result.
- Is a follow-up check possible? Small adjustments after 10 to 14 days are part of a careful treatment.
Safety and experience matter more than a few euros of difference in wrinkle treatment. This is especially true for areas like the eyes, where precision decides the result.

Risks and side effects
A Botox treatment is usually well tolerated. Small red marks at the injection points normally disappear quickly. Small bruises or a mild headache in the first days are also possible. In rare cases, the eyelid or eyebrow may droop for a while. These effects go away on their own.
Botulinum toxin is not suitable for certain neuromuscular diseases, acute infections in the treatment area, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. That is why we check carefully before every treatment.
