Acupuncture treatment procedure
As a rule, you will lie relaxed, comfortable and warm during the treatment. The needles are inserted under strict disinfection conditions, usually without local anesthesia. Thin steel needles are inserted a few millimeters deep at the marked points.
Depending on the type of treatment, several acupuncture points are selected. The insertion of the acupuncture needle can trigger a brief pain or an electrical impulse, which should disappear after a few minutes. In rare cases, a feeling of tension, pain, warmth or cold, an increase or decrease in pulse rate, numbness or a general feeling of well-being may occur. However, these are all indicators that the needle is in the right place and the "Qi" is flowing again. A session lasts 20-40 minutes.
