Korean V-Lift – the facelift trend without a scalpel

With advancing age, the skin increasingly follows the laws of gravity. Due to the reduced collagen and elastin formation, the skin gradually loses its youthful elasticity. The loss of elasticity of the skin is most noticeable on the chin, cheeks and neck. The shape of the face changes and the once youthful V contour disappears.

Korean V-Lift Trend – what is it?

The “Korean V-Lift” or “Korean Vace”, also called thread lift, is a modern minimally invasive treatment method to the conventional facelift. In South Korea, the Korean face lift has long been the number one beauty trend. The lifting is intended to restore the youthful V contour of the face.
However, the trend of thread lifting is not that new. The method has been used for many years. In the past, however, there was still a high risk of side effects, as the gold threads used at the time were difficult to tolerate. Today, threads made of polydioxanone (PDO), a material that is degradable by the body, and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) are used in a thread lift.

Thread lift treatment is also one of the minimally invasive alternatives to a surgical facelift at Era Esthetic in Frankfurt. Thread lifting involves inserting specially designed threads beneath the surface of the skin to target the areas most in need of rejuvenation. These threads contain a series of tiny barbs that lift facial skin to a more youthful position and tighten areas of crepey, sagging skin. While the barbs strengthen the underlying structure of the skin, they stimulate the body’s own production of valuable collagen and elastin to stimulate further rejuvenation. All this is performed at the center in Frankfurt Sachsenhausen with local anesthesia, so you can relax comfortably during the treatment.

In which areas can a thread lift be applied?

In principle, all areas of the body can be treated with sutures, however, the treatments are mainly performed on the following zones:

– Forehead and temple area
– Eyebrows
– Cheek and jaw area
– Neck and décolleté

What is the procedure for a facelift?

The 100% absorbable threads are inserted subcutaneously, i.e. under the skin, with the help of a very thin guide needle and then form a stable network which, due to the tensile stress of the threads and the increased build-up of the body’s own collagen and fibrin, tightens the skin structure in the treated area again in a clearly visible but also natural-looking manner and repositions the tissue in its original position.

The needles are removed and what remains is a non-visible suture structure. Any slight swelling or hematoma (bruising) that may occur depends on the number of sutures placed and the area being treated.

Aesthetics – a very personal matter

Unrealistically high expectations should not be met with a thread lift. Good effects can be achieved with this method, but it cannot be compared with a surgical facelift.

In contrast to a “major” surgical facelift, soft lifting is concerned with the formation of new connective tissue and the reconstruction of collagen support structures, and not with pulling the tissue into position .

In return, the natural facial expression is retained. The soft lifting lasts up to 2 years and can be repeated at any time without any problems.
